Hello, I am Gonca.
For me, cooking is much more than just a profession. It is a passion passed down from generation to generation , full of memories, love, and family traditions.
For twenty-five years, I worked as a biology teacher. I loved sharing knowledge, but deep down, another dream always lived. That dream originated in the kitchen of my childhood home, where I learned to cook alongside my father. His words, "One day, people will enjoy the delicious dishes you make with your own hands," are still my greatest inspiration.
I grew up with the rich flavors of Turkish cuisine, especially those from the Mediterranean and Southeast Turkey. Many of my recipes have been part of our family for generations. My lentil soup is still prepared according to my father's special recipe, and my pide combines traditional flavors with a contemporary twist. Every dish I make is prepared with high-quality ingredients, great care, and the warmth of a real home kitchen.
Thanks to my academic background and my PhD in biology, I look not only at taste, but also at quality, food safety, hygiene, fermentation processes, and the careful selection of ingredients. For me, science and cooking go hand in hand.
On September 11, 2025, I founded Gonca's Kitchen and made my long-cherished dream a reality. I started small, cooking for neighbors and friends. Now, I get to share my love for authentic homemade dishes with many more people.
For me, every meal tells a story of family, tradition, and love. That is why I prepare every dish at Gonca's Kitchen with the same care and attention as if I were cooking for my own family.
